365 Days of Astronomy provides podcasts for IYA
The 365 Days of Astronomy Podcast is an International Year of Astronomy 2009 project that publishes one 5-10 minute audio podcast per day for all 365 days of 2009. The podcast episodes are written, recorded and produced by people around the world.
Communicating the story of astronomy through a multitude of voices
Astronomy is a global endeavor with people of all ages and nations participating in amateur and professional astronomy. This podcast showcases the diversity of voices—your voices—discussing topics ranging from historical moments to today’s discoveries, and from astronomy in literature to astronomy in the backyard. All accents are contributing to these English language podcasts.
We have a calendar of astronomical events on a variety of astronomical topics, ranging from simple concepts or how-tos to more in-depth discussions of complex concepts. There’s a wide range of participants from K-12 classrooms to graduate students in astronomy to science bloggers and podcasters to big media companies.
For instructions on how to contribute see the Join In page.
